Peninsula of Isolella
The beach of Isolella is one of the gems of the south shore of Ajaccio. Located after Porticcio and Agosta, Isolella offers a magnificent sandy beach with crystal-clear turquoise water, surrounded by rocks and sheltered by a peninsula. The water is shallow, making it ideal for swimming for both children and adults.
Mare e Sole Beach
Still on the south shore of the Gulf of Ajaccio, Mare e Sole Beach (or Plage d’Argent) is the gem of the region. Fine silver-colored sand, translucent and very shallow waters, a sheltered and not very windy beach, and a nearby pine forest… in short, paradise.
Seaside resort of Porticcio
Porticcio is located 15 minutes from Ajaccio airport and faces the imperial city on the opposite shore. Porticcio is the dynamic and welcoming seaside resort of the south coast. All shops and amenities are present: restaurants, hotels, cafes, ice cream parlors, renowned creperies, nightclubs, artisans, and traders contribute to the animation of this pretty coastal resort in southern Corsica.
Lake Tolla
The magnificent Lake Tolla, which stretches over 5 km, is located in a lush setting of walnut and chestnut trees. During the summer season, a nautical center allows for many activities for both children and adults.
Ajaccio
The city of Ajaccio, with its lively market, historically rich monuments, and picturesque old port, offers a charming Mediterranean getaway. The narrow streets reveal the city’s cultural richness, while the restaurants of the old port invite you to savor the delights of Corsican cuisine in an authentic setting.
Calanques of Piana
The Calanques of Piana offer a spectacular landscape of pink granite cliffs plunging into the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean Sea. These rock formations, sculpted by time and natural elements, form a maze of coves and caves accessible by boat or on foot via steep trails. Visitors can admire the wild beauty of nature, as well as breathtaking views from coastal roads or observation points.
